The release includes significant translator updates and several minor enhancements
Marlborough, MA — The second Service Pack release of KeyCreator 2025 provides important translator updates and several user-driven enhancements. The downloads are available now for customers with active maintenance or lease.
Improved Translators
Read/import translation capabilities in all KeyCreator products have been updated to support the 2025 formats of SolidWorks, CATIA V5, CATIA V6/3DX, and Solid Edge. Support for Siemens NX and Parasolid has also been updated to handle the latest versions of those formats. Additionally, new support for 3D data from Autodesk Fusion 360 files has been made available in the highest product license packages.
Minor Enhancements
The text formatting options of the Balloon function have been expanded. The user can now set the color (and other attributes) of the text portion of the annotation entity to be distinct from the leader and enclosure geometry portions.
KeyCreator has been updated to better support using mixed units when examining volume and other mass properties. An option now allows temporarily maintaining calculation units in the Mass Properties function for a specific file different from the default units set in File Properties.
Managing levels when bursting part references has been improved. The function now asks the user if the entities from the reference all should be put onto the level which contained the part reference or if sub-levels matching the level tree of the referenced part should be created.
The recently added Fastener Set capabilities have been enriched to support up to four washers defined in two sets, which aids in modeling of a lock washer over or under a plain washer. The preview window in the Fastener Set wizard-style dialog now displays the full set as the user builds it up across the four possible component selections.
The Service Pack 2 release also corrects dozens of miscellaneous issues. The complete release documentation is available to KeyCreator customers from the software section of their support account.
